Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and experienced bakery team member to assist with daily pastry and bakery production. The ideal candidate has commercial bakery experience, takes pride in producing high-quality products, and is willing to assist customers when needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, bake, and finish a variety of breads, pastries, cookies, muffins, scones, cakes, squares, and other baked goods.
- Scale and measure ingredients accurately according to recipes.
- Decorate and finish products while maintaining presentation and quality standards.
- Prepare fillings, frostings, custards, and other bakery components.
- Package, label, and stock finished products.
- Maintain consistency, cleanliness, and food safety throughout production.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Monitor product quality and report any concerns.
- Assist with inventory organization and ingredient rotation (FIFO).
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment and meet daily production schedules.
- Receive deliveries and store ingredients properly when required.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to walk-in customers, including answering questions, processing sales, and packaging orders.
- Perform other bakery duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Commercial bakery or pastry experience preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg.
- Positive attitude, reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Pay: $15.00-$22.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
