Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts and Service Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in supporting our company's operations by managing parts inventory, assisting with procurement, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, some electrical knowledge, willingness to learn, and ability to multi-task. This position offers an engaging busy environment where organizational skills and technical expertise contribute directly to the efficiency of our service department and overall customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Manage parts inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking
- Assist in sourcing and procurement of parts, negotiating with suppliers to optimize costs and delivery times
- Support the service team by providing parts quickly to facilitate journeymen's needs
- Coordinate with vendors for sourcing specialized parts, ensuring quality standards are met
- Assist with scheduling to best optimize operations
- Maintain organized records of parts transactions, purchase orders, and supplier communications
- Assist with demand planning to forecast future parts needs based on service schedules and historical data
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed to move parts within the warehouse or service area
- Support supply chain activities by identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries related to parts availability and order status
Experience
- Previous electrical or inventory experience is highly preferred, especially in a parts or service support role
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies, negotiation techniques, and inventory management best practices
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors, technicians, and customers

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
