Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring safety and aesthetic appeal across various properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience with landscape and construction-related tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the upkeep of beautiful and functional outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to keep grounds attractive and healthy
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators for excavation, grading, or landscaping projects
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, repair, and general maintenance tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify issues requiring repair or attention
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape features or site improvements
- Maintain equipment through basic mechanical knowledge, cleaning, and minor repairs
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Experience
- Prior experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and the operation of hand tools and power tools is advantageous
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, excavators, and general construction practices is a plus
- Experience with maintenance tasks related to outdoor environments or construction sites will be highly valued
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
