Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming dining experience for all customers. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency in food and beverage service, and the ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining professionalism. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The Restaurant Server plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational success.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining attention to detail
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management
- Address guest inquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, dining spaces, and workstations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for billing and cash handling purposes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
- Food industry knowledge including food safety protocols and hospitality best practices
