Production Team Member
The Production Team Member supports daily manufacturing operations by working in various departments in the wood and metal production areas. This role requires versatility, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. The Production Team Member helps ensure production goals are met by filling in where needed, maintaining workflow, and supporting quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates for this role will have experience in Cabinet Assembly and general woodworking skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with various production tasks in metal and wood manufacturing, including cutting, assembly, sanding, finishing, welding, forming, and material handling.
- Move between departments or workstations as needed to support production flow.
- Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment including table saw.
- Load and unload materials, parts, and finished products.
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and work instructions.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production needs.
- Support setup, teardown, and cleanup of workstations.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, metal, or wood shop environment is required.
- Competence using Microsoft Suite programs.
- Forklift certification and experience on both Counter Balance and Stand Up machines are preferred.
- Ability to learn multiple production processes and adapt quickly.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read basic measurements and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
