Sundawg Solar is a fast-growing company dedicated to bringing renewable energy solutions to Saskatchewan. We are looking for hardworking Solar Installation Technicians to join our team. Preference will be given to first or second year electrical apprentices. If you enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, and contributing to a sustainable future, this role is for you!
Your responsibilities will be the installation of solar arrays for both ground- and roof-mount systems, including:
- Measuring, cutting, fastening supports for panels
- Placement and fastening of solar panels to installed racking
- Running cable under Electrician’s supervision
- Installation of trim and/or critter guard
- Installation and interconnection of solar inverters, disconnects, breakers, etc.
The successful candidate will:
- Be safety minded
- Be capable of physically demanding work, including lifting solar panels
- Enjoy working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Have some experience with hand and power tools
- Have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Be willing to travel throughout Saskatchewan for some projects
Other assets that will be considered:
- Safety certifications (fall arrest, elevated work platform, COR, etc.)
- Roof work experience (solar or otherwise)
- Technical aptitude (electrical and/or solar)
We are offering:
- Full-time, seasonal employment (April - December, with potential for extended season/year-round work, weather permitting)
- Overtime may be available
- $18 - $25 per hour, depending on experience
