Reporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Services, the Identity & Access Management (IAM) Specialist is primarily responsible for alignment of Active Directory (AD) infrastructure and implementation with corporate standards. This role also governs initiatives and implementation to follow AD policies and standards, as well as maintain the policies and standards as technology evolves. In addition, this role will work with senior members of the Security & Infrastructure team as well as various affiliates stakeholders to support IAM-related initiatives and ensuring strategic alignment.
Assist in developing and maintaining Enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) policies and standards.
Effectively communicate IAM policies, processes and procedures to stakeholders
Ensuring IAM-related projects are effectively governed in order to maximize security and mitigate risk
Maintain annual AD risk assessment completion and implementation plan to address any security risks identified.
Produce technical documents to support AD solutions.
Analyze and resolve issues related to the active directory environments, and working with vendors and clients as required.
Perform proactive problem management to identify and resolve potential issues related to the active directory environments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the group of companies.
Assist in implementation and configuration of Microsoft Cloud and Identity technology: Azure, O365, Security Policy, Access Control and Group Policies, Active Directory.
Assist in performing maintenance functions during maintenance windows.
Create operational reports and metrics.
Post-Secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline / equivalent experience.
3 – 5 years of experience in information security, or architectural or network support.
Experience in an Identity & Access Management related projects is an asset.
Experience in building and maintaining information security standards and policies.
Capability to drive governance and supporting metrics and audit expectations
Experience in client and vendor management.
Technical or architectural experience of IAM solutions is an asset
Knowledge of information security and risk control framework (NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001 is preferred)
Knowledge of technology trends and developments in the area of information security and risk management.
Experience in implementing Microsoft Cloud services (Office365 and Azure is an asset) and Active Directory services.
Advanced experience and knowledge with Windows desktop Operating Systems and Microsoft Office suite applications.
Experience in implementing Federation to applications using SAML or other protocols.
Experience in Project Management is an asset.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong organizational, analytic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment and to work flexible hours if required.
