Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our team for long term employment and grow with the company. Experience in pest control or a construction related field is an asset but not required, will train the right candidate.

We provide on the job training with a base salary plus escalating commission structure, company vehicle and phone, uniform and PPE. A stipend is provided for use of your home computer (mandatory) and laundry facilities. We provide mandatory provincial safety training courses, plus training and educational materials in order for candidates to acquire their provincial applicators certificate.

Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest problems and entry points
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments using various tools and chemicals in accordance with safety regulations
- Educate clients on pest prevention methods and recommend ongoing maintenance plans
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment as needed for treatment applications
- Maintain detailed records of treatments performed and follow-up schedules
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored after use
- Follow safety protocols to protect yourself, clients, and the environment during all operations
- Plan and manage a service route, communicating with clients and supervisors
Experience
- Prior experience in pest control or related fields such as construction or customer service is preferred but not required
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, or specialized safety equipment can be beneficial for various treatment applications and repair projects
- Exceptionally strong communication and English language skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, manage time effectively, and adhere to safety standards
This position is ideal for individuals interested in a hands-on role that combines technical skills with customer service. Candidates should be prepared for physical activity and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Work at heights and in confined spaces is to be expected on a regular basis. This job involves driving a company vehicle to various client properties and providing physical services, often in remote areas. The terrain in coastal BC can be steep and uneven, and climbing stairs and into crawlspaces is a regular occurrence. For these reasons physical fitness is a requirement. Must be able to lift and safely maneuver a 40lb extension ladder.
Pay: $42,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
