About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join a busy automotive service team in North York. The client is open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including 310S Red Seal Technicians, Licensed Automotive Technicians, experienced apprentices, and non-licensed automotive technicians.
A 310S licence is not mandatory. The most important requirement is strong hands-on diagnostic ability, particularly in both electrical and mechanical automotive systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate diagnosis of automotive electrical and mechanical issues.
- Troubleshoot complex vehicle problems using systematic diagnostic methods.
- Inspect, test, and identify the root cause of vehicle concerns.
- Perform automotive repairs and maintenance based on diagnostic findings.
- Use diagnostic scan tools and other testing equipment effectively.
- Diagnose electrical circuits, sensors, wiring, starting and charging systems, and related components.
- Diagnose mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Work independently and manage diagnostic and repair tasks effectively.
- Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly when required.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on automotive diagnostic and service experience.
- Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Previous experience diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive issues.
- Own tools required.
- Relevant automotive shop experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic.
- 310S licence is an asset but not mandatory.
