Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair, maintenance, and heavy equipment operation. This role offers an opportunity to work with a variety of machinery and vehicles, providing essential services to ensure optimal performance and safety. Experience in dealership settings, heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery is highly desirable. Candidates with electrical experience, welding skills, and familiarity with schematics will excel in this position.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and industrial equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and system tune-ups.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Repair or replace faulty components in automotive systems including HVAC units, electrical wiring, and engine parts.
- Assist with the assembly and disassembly of machinery for repairs or upgrades.
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle or piece of equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Dealership experience is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic schematics.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment safely.
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC units, and hydraulics.
- Experience with heavy lifting techniques and proper use of lifting equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using schematics to diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with good communication skills for effective customer service.

Pay: $23.83-$46.44 per hour
