Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Psychotherapist (RP) to provide psychotherapy and mental health support services on a contract basis. The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and support clients in achieving their mental health and wellness goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and mental health assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment and care plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups as appropriate.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention when required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and community partners.
- Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and mental health awareness initiatives as needed.
-Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards established by the regulatory college.
Required Qualifications
Registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or equivalent provincial regulatory body.
Doctoral degree in Psychotherapy, Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, or a related field.
Minimum three (3) years of clinical psychotherapy experience.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, assessment, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing virtual counselling services.
Specialized training in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, or workplace mental health.
Experience facilitating mental health training and psychoeducational programs.
Bilingualism is considered an asset.
