Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Laser Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting machinery to produce precise components according to specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines with precision, ensuring accurate cuts according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings
- Set up laser equipment, including calibration and alignment, to optimize performance and product quality
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine cutting parameters and material requirements
- Perform routine maintenance on laser machinery, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to minimize downtime
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, measurement tools, and visual checks to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications
- Assist in the setup and operation of related equipment such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, and welding stations when required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and properly handling materials and tools
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and understanding machining symbols
- Familiarity with CNC programming concepts and basic math skills for setting up cuts and measurements
- Ability to operate hand tools such as calipers, wrenches, and measuring tapes accurately
- Knowledge of welding processes, plasma cutting, press brake operation, CNC lathe/milling machines is a plus
- Experience with quality inspection procedures and assembly processes is highly desirable
- Valid certifications for crane operation or forklift driving are advantageous but not mandatory
