Position Overview
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario invites applications for a full time locum position in Anatomical Pathology. The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario is a tertiary care teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Ottawa. The division handles about 4,500 surgical specimens. There are about 150 autopsies a year.

The division is located in a modern facility with a state of the art laboratory. The regionalization of pediatric pathology services for the entire catchment area of Eastern Ontario offers exciting opportunities for clinical and academic work originating from the region. This regionalization also offers the possibility to pursue areas of subspecialty interest. The successful candidate will share equally in the pediatric surgical pathology, pediatric autopsy pathology, as well as gastrointestinal and placental pathology with the other 3 full-time pediatric pathologist. The candidate will participate in resident teaching.

Basic Requirements
The candidate must hold an MD degree or equivalent, appropriate certification in a relevant field of pathology and must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the province of Ontario.
