We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full Shipper and Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products are accurately prepared and shipped in a timely manner. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment safely. The Shipper will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting overall warehouse operations.
Duties
- Prepare orders for shipment by verifying product quantities and specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and order pickers, to move products within the warehouse.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage order fulfillment processes.
- Build and package products securely for transport to prevent damage during shipping.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
- Assist in receiving incoming shipments and updating inventory records accordingly.
Requirements
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and cranes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order fulfillment processes.
- Experience working in a warehouse setting, demonstrating an understanding of safety protocols.
- Ability to operate order pickers efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Operates computer and scanning tools, and enters all relevant coding in Canadian Tire systems.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- knowledge in SPS commerce Microsoft word & excel.
- must be legal working in Canada .
