We are currently seeking a:
Return to Work Coordinator - Human Resources

Permanent Full-time

As an integral member of the Human Resources department, the Return to Work Coordinator employs the principles of disability management to all current cases of occupational and non-occupational illnesses or injuries. The primary focus is to work closely with the staff and their supervisor to ensure a progressive and comprehensive return to work program which results in effective early intervention and timely management of cases and safe, effective return-to-work strategies. This role is also responsible for administration of the attendance support program and related activities. The Return to Work Coordinator will also help with HR projects on an as needed basis.

Key Skills, Experience and Behaviors required for this position:

Certificate, Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or a Health and Wellness discipline
1 to 3 years experience with disability management principles such as workplace accommodation, return to work plans and documentation.
Good verbal, oral and communication skills
Skills in counselling and supporting safe return to work
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); HRIS an asset
Excellent interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of relevant legislation, e.g. Human Rights Codes (HRC), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA), Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA)
