Position Details
Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking local Labourers for work at our on our P3 school projects in Edmonton, AB:
- Schedule Rotation: Monday - Friday
- Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
- Start Date: Sept 14, 2026
- Locations: McConachie, Glenridding, Rivers Edge, Heritage Valley, Hays Ridge, Crystalina Nera
What You Will Be Working On
As a Labourer, you'll be an integral part of the team constructing new schools from the ground up. These large-scale commercial construction projects require hardworking, safety-focused individuals who are committed to quality and teamwork. Your previous commercial construction experience will be essential in supporting multiple phases of the build and ensuring the project progresses safely and efficiently.
- Assisting carpenters and other trades with daily construction activities
- Supporting concrete formwork, pours, stripping, material handling, and site clean-up
- Performing general labour duties related to foundations, structural concrete, framing, and building enclosure activities
- Loading, unloading, organizing, and distributing materials throughout the job site
- Operating basic construction tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Assisting with layout, measurements, and preparation work as directed by supervisors
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
- Supporting project crews with temporary protection, hoarding, site logistics, and ongoing construction needs
- Identifying and reporting safety concerns while participating in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments
- Working collaboratively with multiple trades to help maintain project schedules and production targets
What We Are Looking For
- Previous commercial construction experience
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- ESC Fall Protection
- Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
- The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
- Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
