Candidates must hold a PhD or EdD, with doctoral-level training in research methods and demonstrated experience teaching at the graduate level. Candidates should have strong knowledge of research design, including observational, survey, experimental, quasi-experimental, and correlational approaches, along with experience applying these designs in educational research. They should also have a solid foundation in quantitative methods, including measurement, reliability, validity, and introductory statistical analysis, and be able to support students in selecting appropriate methods for different research questions.
