Under the responsibility of the Logistics Director, the Bilingual logistics coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily deliveries. They act as the central point of contact between drivers, the warehouse, external carriers, customers, and the internal team to ensure efficient, safe, and timely operations.
Support daily logistics operations, including dispatching, managing a team of driver, and order fulfillment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes
Assist in data analysis and reporting to support strategic decisions
Organize, plan, modify, review, and optimize delivery routes as well as supply transport, inter-site deliveries, and industrial orders, making the best use of human and material resources (on-time deliveries)
Assign deliveries to drivers and/or external carriers according to priorities, schedules, and capacity
Respond to delivery needs, order errors, and any dissatisfaction
Manage unforeseen events (delays, mechanical breakdowns, last-minute changes)
Collaborate with the warehouse to coordinate the preparation and shipment of orders on time
Keep transportation documents up to date (delivery slips, route sheets, reports)
Use computerized dispatch systems (Road Net), GPS (Samsara), and management software
Ensure compliance with safety policies and transportation regulations
Regularly monitor daily activities and measure results, implementing tools and tracking reports (costs, key performance indicators)
Perform administrative tasks for the department (checking and filing documents, tracking hours, etc.)
Help develop and maintain communication and collaboration, acting with courtesy and professionalism at all times. This applies both internally with the various departments of the cheese factory and externally.
Be familiar with, comply with, enforce, and contribute to all cheese factory policies and procedures, as well as the standards of the Ministry of Transportation and Health and Safety (Ontario and Quebec).
