About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IT Department Coordinator to support the daily administrative operations of our IT department. This role serves as a central point of contact between the IT team, internal departments, and external vendors, ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and efficient workflow across the organization. The successful candidate will play an important role in coordinating schedules, maintaining records, and supporting general administrative needs within the department.
Responsibilities
Office & Administrative Support
- Coordinate daily administrative operations within the IT department
- Manage schedules, calendars, and meeting coordination for IT staff
- Maintain office supplies and ensure efficient workflow
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries
- Manage departmental email communication and request routing
- Coordinate between IT staff, internal departments, and external vendors
Documentation & Records Management
- Prepare, format, and maintain technical and administrative documents
- Maintain IT inventory, software licenses, and asset tracking records
- Update spreadsheets and internal tracking systems
General Support
- Assist with internal reports, memos, and documentation as required
- Provide ongoing administrative support to the IT department
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- High attention to detail and professionalism
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced office environment
- Strong computer literacy and comfort with digital tools and file systems
- Previous experience in an administrative, receptionist, or office coordinator role is an asset
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, printers, and office technology to assist with troubleshooting and support is an asset
