We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator with strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and team-oriented skills, as this position interfaces with multiple departments, customers, and vendors. In this active role, you enjoy working efficiently with our administrative staff in a busy work environment while juggling multiple tasks under tight deadlines. This position is responsible for handling all shipping and receiving duties for the Calgary branch office.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, safe and organized warehouse and shipping areas following industry best practices, provincial and corporate occupational health & safety requirements.
- Prepare freight, complete accurate paperwork and data entry in our ERP (SyAcc) for domestic and cross-border shipments.
- Track and schedule materials for projects in conjunction with project timelines and milestones.
- Prepare equipment and materials for daily project shipments for sales and technical staff.
- Conduct routine inventory spot checks and responsible for inventory control.
- Efficient inventory tracking using the approved procedures and correct documentation issues and tracking - return purchase orders to vendors for repairs, RMA’s, branch transfers, and project shipments.
- Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move, or hoist materials in the warehouse
- Complete assigned installation/implementation tasks following established best practices.
- Liaise with customers and handle shipping inquiries as required.
- General work hours will be 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., however, some after-hours work may be necessary on occasion for emergency shipments, special projects, or inventory counts.
- Additional and other duties as required.
Service Administration (Back Up, as applicable):
- Create service work orders for client equipment requiring repair.
- Manage customer inquiries related to repair status.
- Contact suppliers for pricing for equipment repairs – convert to sell price and quote customer.
- Set up purchase orders to send to suppliers for repairs.
- Warranty exchanges of defective equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1+ years of warehousing experience preferred
- Proven knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing and basic administration procedures
- Experience with cross-border shipping and brokerage procedures
- Knowledge of correct packing and skidding techniques
- Forklift certified is an asset
- WHMIS, Basic First Aid/CPR and Transportation of Dangerous Goods training an asset
- Ability to lift or move boxes up to 50 lbs.
