Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation and safety standards, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food quality, and ensuring compliance with health regulations to provide an outstanding dining experience for guests. Previous restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel experience is highly valued, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food presentation
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving processes to ensure consistency and compliance with safety regulations
- Manage cash handling procedures and POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to prevent shortages or waste
- Enforce health and safety standards across the kitchen and dining areas
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Assist in restaurant management tasks including scheduling, reporting, and maintaining operational efficiency
- Support kitchen staff with food handling, food safety practices, and maintaining cleanliness
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant management; supervising experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, training staff, and team management
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and adherence to health standards
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism
