Position Summary
As a Customer Service Representative / Budtender, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer experiences by assisting customers with product selection, educating them on cannabis products, processing sales accurately, and ensuring compliance with all Ontario cannabis regulations. You will play an important role in maintaining an organized, inviting, and professional retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome every customer with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Verify identification and ensure all AGCO regulations are followed.
- Build rapport with customers while providing knowledgeable product recommendations based on their individual preferences and needs.
- Educate customers on cannabis products, accessories, methods of consumption, cannabinoids, and product categories.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately.
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions responsibly.
- Answer customer questions both in-store and over the phone.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and respectfully.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor.
- Restock inventory and assist with merchandising displays.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure product accuracy.
- Stay informed on new products, promotions, and industry developments.
- Follow all company policies, security procedures, and Ontario cannabis regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the team to create a positive and supportive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- CannSell Certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).
- Previous retail or customer service experience is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable learning about cannabis products and educating customers in a professional manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
