Life Enrichment Aide – Full-Time

Job Type: Full-time (75 hours biweekly)
We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and creative Life Enrichment Aide to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our vibrant activity programs, helping residents stay engaged, connected, and active.

Schedule:
- 75 hours biweekly
- Must be available to work a rotating schedule that includes one evening a week, every other weekend and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and delivering a diverse range of recreational, social, and emotional programs tailored to residents' unique needs (including specialized dementia and Alzheimer's programming).
- Lead and support outdoor travel activities, picnics, and tours using Wildwood’s dedicated Mobility Bus.
- Invite and encourage family members, friends, and volunteers to participate in special theme days.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and engagement levels in compliance with regulations.
- Work closely with the clinical and supportive care teams to ensure a holistic approach to resident wellness.
Requirements:
- Work Authorization: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of hire.
- Education: A post-secondary diploma or degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Activation Coordination, Gerontology, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience: Genuine empathy, patience, and a deep respect for the senior community. Strong communication and organizational skills with a knack for group leadership.
- Pre Employment: A current criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening and TB Screening will be required upon hire.
