Your Opportunity
The Senior Associate, Consulting will serve as an integral member of the Consulting Team, reporting to the Team’s senior leaders and Partner. The individual will play an important contributor role, responsible for delivering exceptional client service to a diverse group of clients, working on a collaborative basis under the guidance and supervision of the Consulting Team’s leaders. He/She will enjoy a significant degree of ownership of their work and have an opportunity to learn, grow and develop new advanced skills.
Your Scope:
· Client Service Excellence and Client Engagement: Demonstrate a strong client-service orientation. Build and maintain long-term client relationships based on trust and exceptional service. Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and objectives. Provide insightful and practical recommendations to address their needs.
· Business Plan/Case Development: Assist in the creation and evaluation of business plans and cases. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to ensure viability and alignment with client objectives.
· Feasibility Studies: Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies to assess the practicality and potential success of proposed projects or business ventures.
· Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis to support client decision-making processes. Provide actionable insights based on financial data and trends.
· Business Process/Risk Reviews: Evaluate and optimize business processes. Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
· Internal Audits and Forensic Accounting: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and to achieve internal control. Perform forensic accounting to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
· Partner Collaboration: Meet with the partner at the start of each engagement to review the expected date of completion and fee budget. Communicate any timing issues and address conflicts promptly.
· Problem Solving: Analyze complex business problems using qualitative and quantitative methods. Develop data-driven solutions and strategies to drive client success.
· Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and data analysis. Synthesize findings into actionable insights and present them to clients and internal teams.
· Engagement Planning and Completion: Plan and complete engagements within various business sectors, individually or in a team environment. This includes meeting with clients, documenting internal control/business processes, performing research and analyses, writing business cases/plans and/or report segments, and performing calculations.
· Project Management: Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work products that meet client expectations.
· Team Management: Ensure any junior staff are properly supervised and monitor timelines agreed upon by the partner.
Your Qualifications and Competencies:
· Education: Undergraduate degree in Business - Accounting, Finance, or a related field - from a top-tier institution, with a strong accounting and auditing background and skills. Advanced degrees (MBA, Master’s) or professional designations (CPA, CFE, CMC, PMP) are a plus.
· Experience: 2-4 years of experience in accounting, consulting, finance, business analysis, or a related field. Experience with a leading consulting firm is highly desirable.
· Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to interpret and synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner to diverse audiences.
· Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple projects and priorities. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
· Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
· Client Focus: Demonstrated commitment to client service excellence. Ability to anticipate client needs and exceed their expectations.
· Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python) is a plus.
· Creative Problem-Solver and Flexible Thinker: Ability to be creative and develop and execute non-conventional solutions to serve client needs.
· Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines
