House of Fork is seeking an experienced, professional, and customer-focused Bartender/Server to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in hospitality and demonstrated experience preparing high-quality craft cocktails while delivering exceptional guest service. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, professional service and create a welcoming experience for all guests.
- Prepare and serve craft cocktails, classic cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard of consistency and presentation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, beers, cocktail techniques, and current beverage trends.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and ensure timely service.
- Make beverage recommendations based on guest preferences and menu pairings.
- Process guest payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar while adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Verify legal drinking age and comply with all provincial liquor regulations and responsible beverage service requirements.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory management, and bar preparation.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a restaurant, cocktail bar, or upscale hospitality environment.
- Proven experience preparing craft cocktails with consistency, accuracy, and attention to presentation.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, premium spirits, wine, beer, and modern mixology techniques.
- Valid ProServe Certification (Alberta), or ability to obtain certification before employment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
