Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the cannabis industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to educate customers about products. This role involves assisting customers in selecting products, managing sales transactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail or hospitality are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage based on individual needs
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management
- Upsell products by understanding customer preferences and recommending suitable options
- Maintain knowledge of current product offerings, promotions, and industry regulations
- Ensure the sales floor is well-organized, clean, and properly merchandised at all times
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and filing records
- Follow all safety protocols, including heavy lifting procedures when handling stock or supplies
- Support team leadership in maintaining compliance with legal requirements and company policies
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or hospitality environments with customer interaction
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel for record keeping and reporting
- Ability to operate POS systems and basic computer skills for daily tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and time management abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Multilingual capabilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to upsell products confidently
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to optimize product displays
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and stand for extended periods
