Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate and Key Holder to join our retail team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with customers, demonstrate product features, and support store operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for kitchen supplies and retail sales, and the ability to lead by example as a Key Holder. Experience in merchandising or technical sales are highly valued. As a vital part of our team, you will help create an engaging shopping environment while ensuring smooth daily operations.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product demonstrations, e highlighting features and benefits
- Drive sales through effective upselling and cross-selling techniques
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and visually appealing
- Support store opening and closing procedures as a Key Holder, including securing the premises
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism using proper phone etiquette
- Assist in inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising strategies
- Support store team with daily operations, including time management tasks to meet sales goals and operational deadlines
- Uphold store policies and ensure compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and basic math skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers on technical features of products
- Experience with merchandising, upselling, and customer service excellence
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout shifts
- Professional appearance with strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team while also taking initiative as a Key Holder
