Kuper Academy Junior School in Kirkland is seeking an exceptional Junior Kindergarten Teacher to join our distinguished Pre-School team in the Mini Academy for the 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing an outstanding learning experience for our youngest students.

Position Details
- Position: Junior Kindergarten Teacher (Age 4)
- Status: Full-Time, 1 year with the possibility of renewal
- Contract Dates: August 19, 2026 – June 23, 2027
- Salary: To be determined based on education and experience

Qualifications
Required
- Valid Quebec Teaching License (Brevet d'enseignement)
- Bilingualism (English and French)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- A collaborative approach and commitment to professional excellence
Preferred
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is an asset
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in both English and French that reflect best practices in early childhood education.
- Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where children feel valued, confident, and inspired to learn through purposeful play, exploration, and inquiry.
- Support the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of four-year-old learners while cultivating independence, resilience, and a love of learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of each child.
- Build strong, respectful partnerships with parents and maintain open, ongoing communication regarding student progress and well-being.
- Assess student learning and complete report cards in accordance with school expectations.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and Meet the Teacher Evening.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, specialists, and school leadership to ensure the highest standards of teaching and student support.
- Contribute actively to the broader life of the school through participation in extracurricular activities, concerts, celebrations, and other community events.
