Hiring: Mainframe Generalist
Location: Ottawa (ON) - Canada (could work from another part of the province or canada if we have an office in your area to work from, otherwise it has to be in Ottawa).
Must be: Canadian Citizen, or have Canadian Permanent Residency (PR), and must be located in Canada.
Looking to hire a mainframe generalist who has 10+ years of experience as a system programmer.
Here's a sampling of the skills I am looking for:
- Experience working on a z/OS system (IE: z/OS support, CICS, Websphere, DB2, ACF2, TSS, RACF, VTAM security to name a few)
- IBM Mainframe experience (Z-Systems)
- Experience working in a SYSPLEX and/or MONOPLEX configuration
- Good knowledge and understanding of ISPF, TSO, JCL or REXX
- Programming knowledge (mainly JCL and REXX, but ASSEMBLER is a bonus here).
- Good knowledge of Cobol.
- Knowledge of SMP and various other mainframe utilities such as ISPF, TSO, PROCLIBs and more.
...and automation experience such as:
- Installation, maintenance and support of OPS/MVS or System Automation for zO/S, GDPS, Control-M, Omegamon, Strobe or any other monitoring software.
Assets: French language ability.
