Canada Pump and Power is looking for experienced, reliable, and mechanically inclined Pump Operators to support project-based work in the Fort McMurray area.
At CPP, we don’t just throw you into the field and hope for the best. We provide company-specific pump training to help our operators understand our equipment, processes, safety expectations, and the way we get things done. We’re looking for people who are willing to learn, take direction, and grow with the team.

12-hour shifts

Day and night shifts required

Rotation may be extended based on project needs

Safely operate, monitor, and maintain pumping systems and related equipment
-
Rig in and rig out pumping systems
-
Complete pre-use inspections and hazard assessments using Nektar
-
Fuel and maintain pump systems
-
Monitor flow, pressure, and site conditions
-
Keep accurate performance logs, daily reports, and site documentation
-
Operate a pickup truck to move between work areas
-
Pull and reverse a truck with trailer as required
-
Follow all company, client, and OH&S safety requirements
-
Communicate issues, complete regular checks, and support site housekeeping
-
Work closely with team members, clients, and contractors
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Fluent English, including reading, writing, and speaking
-
Physically fit and able to lift up to 18 kg
-
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
-
Willing to work long 12-hour shifts, days or nights, with irregular breaks
-
Able to pass a 12-panel pre-site access drug and alcohol test, including cannabis
-
Able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check
-
Mechanical inclination and ability to troubleshoot pumps
-
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
-
Minimum 3 years of driving experience - For the ability to be added to company insurance.

Competent pulling and reversing a truck with trailer - We are willing to train!

Pump operation experience is considered an asset

Rigging experience considered an asset

Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) - Free online course!

WHMIS - Free online course!

Common Core (is a huge asset!)

Common Safety Orientation (CSO) — link will be provided

Wildlife Awareness — link will be provided

Site-specific orientations — links will be provided

Outdoor, hands-on work in active field environments

Wet, noisy, cold, and changing weather conditions

Physically demanding work with real-world impact

Close collaboration with supervisors, team members, clients, and contractors

Starting wage: $28.00–$35.00/hour, depending on experience
