Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager/Supervisor to lead our store operations and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for retail sales, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves overseeing daily store activities, ensuring excellent customer service, and implementing strategic initiatives to meet sales targets. The Retail Store Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining a positive shopping environment and fostering team development. On hand approach in daily operations, cleaning and sales is important.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer interactions.
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and budgeting.
- Oversee sales management activities, including pricing strategies, sales promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties with accuracy and professionalism.
- Implement effective merchandising displays to enhance product visibility and drive sales.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and training sessions to promote team growth.
- Develop and execute strategies for achieving sales goals and improving store performance.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management with strong leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in phone etiquette and customer service excellence.
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable for effective team management and customer engagement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising tools, and basic math for pricing and bookkeeping tasks.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff, as well as supervising teams.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, budgeting, marketing strategies, and sales management techniques.
- Effective negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing decisions.
- Ability to manage time effectively while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on team building and motivating staff for optimal performance.
