Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Entry-Level Baker to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with little to no experience in baking but a strong desire to learn and grow in the industry. As a Baker, you will assist in preparing baked goods, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Baking Assistance:
Assist with the preparation and baking of a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following standard recipes and procedures.
Measure ingredients accurately and assist with mixing, shaping, and preparing doughs and batters.
Assist in decorating and finishing baked goods according to specifications.
Kitchen Organization:
Keep the baking station clean and organized, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
Assist with inventory management, ensuring ingredients and supplies are stocked and ready for use.
Clean kitchen surfaces, ovens, and other equipment to maintain a sanitary workspace.
Maintain organization and and cleanliness of the dish area.
Quality Control:
Help ensure the quality of all baked goods by following proper procedures and adhering to company standards for freshness, taste, and presentation.
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are cooked properly.
Customer Service Support:
Assist in packaging and labeling baked goods for sale, ensuring products are visually appealing and properly packaged.
If needed, assist in customer interactions, such as answering questions or helping customers choose products.
Qualifications:
No prior experience required, but a strong interest in baking and willingness to learn is essential.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and utensils is a plus, but not required.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality baked goods.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., bags of flour or other ingredients).
Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
