Job Title: Glass Installer
Job Location: Calgary, AB
Our client is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Glass Installer to join their team. This role involves installing, repairing, and replacing glass in residential and commercial settings while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
What's the Job?
- Install and replace panes of glass in windows, doors, storefronts, curtain walls, and other structures.
- Remove broken or damaged glass and prepare frames for new installations.
- Measure, cut, fit, and secure glass according to project specifications.
- Operate hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, suction cups, caulking guns, and measuring tools.
- Apply glazing compounds, sealants, and weatherproofing materials.
- Install glass using appropriate fasteners, gaskets, clips, and framing systems.
- Safely load, unload, transport, and handle glass products and materials.
- Inspect completed installations to ensure quality, proper fit, and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
What's Needed?
- Previous experience installing or replacing glass panes, or experience as a glazier or construction labourer, is preferred.
- Hands-on experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and installation specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and handle glass safely.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
