Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to each client's needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities.
- Conduct client consultations to understand their health history, preferences, and specific concerns.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized treatment area following health and safety standards.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate follow-up therapies or wellness practices.
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client progress.
- Uphold professional standards of conduct, confidentiality, and customer service at all times.
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Valid massage therapy license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred to better understand client conditions and treatment plans.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients.
- Excellent communication skills to explain treatment procedures and address client questions or concerns.
- Ability to create a relaxing environment that promotes trust and comfort for clients.
- Prior experience in a similar setting is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
- A professional demeanor with a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in all treatments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
