Drafter - Geospatial and Surveying
Capital Geospatial Partners Ltd. is seeking a Drafter with at least three years of experience to join our growing team. We deliver high-quality surveying and geospatial services, with a strong focus on the pipeline industry.
This position is fully remote and available as either a full-time employee or contractor role.
What We're Looking For
- At least three years of professional drafting experience in surveying, geomatics, engineering, pipelines, or a related field.
- Proficiency with QGIS and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
- Experience with pipeline rights-of-way is considered a strong asset.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, professional drawings and maps.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with project teams.
- A willingness to grow with the company and contribute to its long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise survey plans, maps, drawings, and other project deliverables.
- Use QGIS, AutoCAD, and related software to organize, interpret, and present survey and geospatial data.
- Draft pipeline rights-of-way, alignments, boundaries, land features, elevations, and other project information.
- Review field survey data and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with surveyors, project managers, and other team members to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Maintain organized drawing files, geospatial data, templates, and project documentation.
- Assist with quality-control reviews and incorporate revisions as required.
- Support the development of project plans and deliverables based on survey findings.
Location and Work Arrangement
This is a fully remote position.
Compensation
Starting rate: $30-$35 per hour
Final compensation will be based on the successful candidate's skills, experience, software proficiency, and employment or contract arrangement.
