Forklift Operator (Reach or Counterbalance Propane) - Oakville, ON
Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour + Annual Bonus Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Warehouse Associate – Shipping to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Shipping team, you will:
- Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time according to requested ship dates
- Utilize warehouse systems and computer applications to process shipments efficiently
- Calculate and verify total pallet height and weight for Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments
- Perform scan verification processes to ensure 100% order accuracy for designated customers
- Prepare and enter shipment information into Transportation Management Systems (TMS), including MercuryGate and Clippership
- Generate and print Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other required shipping documentation
- Schedule carrier pick-up appointments through customer portals and coordinate shipments with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers
- Create Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) and shipment records for customers as required
- Maintain accurate records and support continuous process improvements
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift or Reach Truck
- Valid forklift certification preferred
- Must be certified or willing to obtain re-certification within 90 days of employment
- Comfortable using computers and warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
