Change Management Consultant - Contract - 19381
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Change Management Consultant to support the continued implementation and adoption of Birdview, a project and resource management platform recently introduced within the organization.
The consultant will play a key role in expanding Birdview adoption across multiple teams and helping employees transition from Microsoft Project to Birdview. The focus will be on driving user adoption and the behavioural changes required to improve time capture, project costing, workload visibility, resource capacity planning, fee structures, and production efficiency.
This is a hands-on change management role. The successful consultant will work directly with leaders, managers, and employees to provide training, coaching, process guidance, and ongoing support throughout the transition.
The consultant will report to the Manager, Project Management Office.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Develop and lead a structured change management approach to support successful implementation and user adoption
Apply established change management methodologies, processes, and tools
Support the transition from Microsoft Project to Birdview across multiple teams
Assess organizational change impacts, readiness, and stakeholder needs
Conduct process mapping to identify how Birdview should be integrated into existing workflows
Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and communications activities
Support the design and delivery of training programs, user guides, and other change enablement materials
Provide hands-on coaching, training, and ongoing support to users as they transition to the new platform
Answer user questions and help teams navigate new processes and ways of working
Identify potential resistance to change and develop strategies to address it
Identify change related risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
Develop actionable change management deliverables, including Sponsor, People Manager, Communications, Training, and Resistance Management Plans
Engage and support leaders throughout the implementation
Coordinate change activities across multiple teams and stakeholder groups
Track adoption, issues, success measures, and overall change management progress
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
Minimum 7 years working in a change management role
Must have PMP Certification
Prosci or CCMP an asset
Significant experience leading software or technology related change management initiatives
Demonstrated experience supporting the implementation and adoption of new enterprise software or business systems
Strong hands-on experience with user training, coaching, communications, stakeholder engagement, and adoption support
Experience developing and executing structured change management plans and strategies
Strong process mapping and business process integration experience
Experience assessing change impacts, organizational readiness, stakeholder needs, and resistance
Ability to work directly with employees and leaders to build confidence and buy in during a technology transition
Strong organizational and project coordination skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work independently and hit the ground running in an active software implementation environment
Previous Birdview experience is not required.
