This is an opportunity for an energetic, hands-on leader who enjoys building strong teams, creating an exceptional resident experience and driving the operational and financial performance of a community.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operations of the residence, ensuring a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment for residents, families and employees.
- Lead, coach and support managers and frontline employees across nursing and care, kitchen and dining, recreation, administration and sales.
- Build and maintain a strong team through effective recruitment, onboarding, employee development, coaching and performance management.
- Establish clear expectations and accountability while fostering a collaborative, engaged and resident-focused workplace culture.
- Oversee key performance areas including financial results, occupancy, resident and family satisfaction, employee engagement, staffing and health and safety.
- Monitor scheduling and staffing levels to ensure the residence is appropriately resourced to meet operational and resident-care requirements.
- Take an active role in marketing the residence, building its profile within the community and identifying opportunities to increase occupancy.
- Build trusted relationships with residents and their families, maintaining regular communication and responding promptly and professionally to questions, concerns, complaints and suggestions.
- Facilitate resident meetings as required to encourage open communication and address feedback or concerns.
- Represent the residence professionally with residents, families, guests, healthcare professionals, referral partners, regulators and the broader community.
- Lead and participate in provincial and municipal inspections, ensuring areas of non-compliance or recommendations are addressed appropriately and promptly.
- Ensure complaints and operational matters are managed in accordance with applicable Adult Residential Facility Guidelines, legislation, policies and standards.
- Continually identify opportunities to improve operations, resident experience, employee engagement and the overall performance of the residence.

- Bilingualism in French and English is required.
- Strong operational leadership skills with the ability to balance resident experience, people leadership, financial performance and regulatory requirements.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with residents, families, employees and community partners.
- A resident- and customer-focused leadership approach with the ability to address concerns professionally, compassionately and effectively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities.
- Familiarity with applicable New Brunswick legislation and regulatory requirements, including Employment Standards, the Public Health Act, Adult Residential Facility Guidelines and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- A proactive, results-oriented leadership style and a willingness to be visible and engaged throughout the residence and broader community.
