We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team as a part-time office clerk.
Job Description:
- Balance cash on hand each day and create bank deposit
- Maintain sales records by transferring daily transaction reports and entering them into the store’s financial records
- Maintain current records on accounts receivable
- Check all invoices for accuracy against purchase orders to maintain accurate accounts payable
- Enter invoices into payables software and prepare for payment
- Order supplies, including forms, stationery, printer supplies etc. in a timely manner
- Answer telephone calls
- Relieve cashiers or assist at cash as necessary
- Process daily mail
Qualifications:
- Basic mathematical skills
- Friendly and helpful attitude toward customers
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic understanding of accounting
- Experience with Excel and creating/working with spreadsheets
- Ability to work both co-operatively in a team atmosphere and independently
- Ability to read and interpret written or printed information, as well as data presented in numerical form
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks
- Valid drivers license
Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
