Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant (Fillware Experience Mandatory)

Eastbridge Pharmacy is a busy, independently owned community pharmacy committed to providing exceptional patient care and personalized service. We are looking for an experienced Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing team.
Please note: Previous experience using Fillware Pharmacy Software is mandatory. Applications without Fillware experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Process new prescriptions and refill requests using Fillware Pharmacy Software
- Accurately enter prescriptions and patient information
- Process electronic prescriptions
- Prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification
- Bill prescriptions through ODB, private insurance, NIHB, WSIB, and other third-party plans
- Manage inventory and receive pharmaceutical orders
- Prepare blister packs and compliance packaging
- Answer telephone inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Communicate professionally with patients, prescribers, and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dispensary
- Support pharmacists with day-to-day pharmacy operations
Mandatory Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in Ontario
- Previous experience using Fillware Pharmacy Software (MANDATORY)
- Applicants with extensive Ontario community pharmacy experience using other pharmacy software (e.g., Kroll, HealthWATCH ) may also be considered.
- Experience processing ODB and third-party insurance claims
- Strong understanding of Ontario pharmacy workflow
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with compliance packaging (blister packs)
- Experience with pharmaceutical inventory management and ordering
- Experience supporting pharmacy clinical services
