Position Summary:
Our Brampton Terminal is currently seeking a City Dispatcher to join the team!
The purpose of a City Dispatcher at Speedy Transport Group Inc. is to ensure efficient and cost-effective city operations. A successful candidate will ensure that all shipments are matched, manifested, processed and dispatched in a timely manner to uphold our high standards for customer satisfaction.
Shift: Sunday to Thursday 9pm to 530am
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day city operations.
- Communicate with clients in a professional manner to meet their needs.
- Process loads to depart and arrive accurately and in a timely manner.
- Consolidate freight to maximize load factor and minimize loads.
Position Qualifications:
- Previous Dispatch experience is a preferred.
- Experience with MS Excel and Outlook is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience is a strong asset.
- Warehouse experience is an asset.
- Administration experience with excellent attention to detail is an asset.
- Ability to meet deadlines with high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
