Technical Architect (CM-FATA-312476N)
DESCRIPTION: Nortak Software is currently seeking Senior Technical Architects with the following qualifications:
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience, within the last fifteen (15) years, performing duties consistent with a Technical Architect – Level 3
- Must have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution OR at least two (2) current and valid professional certifications relevant to this requirement from the following list: a. Enterprise/solution architecture (e.g., TOGAF); b. IT service management (e.g., ITIL); c. Cloud architecture (e.g., Azure/AWS Solutions Architect); d. Modern endpoint management / Microsoft 365 administration (e.g., Microsoft 365 / Endpoint Administrator track); e. Agile delivery (e.g., Scrum Master or equivalent); f. AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals; g. MS-100 Microsoft 365 Identity and Services; h. MS-101 Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security; i. MD-101 Managing Modern Desktops; j. Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate; k. Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert; l. Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Must have contributed to technical or solution design and have led or supported the implementation of cloud-based IM/IT solutions on a minimum of two (2) IM/IT TRANSFORMATIONAL projects, including migration of IT services, applications, infrastructure, or endpoint management platforms to the cloud
- Must have experience implementing and operationalizing enterprise-scale cloud-based solutions in distributed environments supporting 5,000 or more users or managed assets, including at least one (1) IM/IT project in a COMPLEX environment
- Must have experience with implementation of cloud-managed or hybrid service provisioning and management solutions (e.g., device, platform, or service provisioning using cloud-based management tools or equivalent technologies).
- Must have experience with implementation of enterprise security and compliance configurations for cloud-based services, including configuration of security baselines, compliance policies, and integration with identity and access management services.
- Must have experience with delivery of application or service lifecycle management within a cloud-enabled environment, including deployment, configuration, maintenance, and update management.
- Must have experience providing operational rollout support and troubleshooting, including pilot activities, phased rollout assistance, and stabilization activities in a geographically distributed stakeholder environment; and
- Must have demonstrated experience providing technical leadership during solution implementation, including technical design refinement, system integration, coordination with stakeholders (e.g., development, infrastructure, cloud, security), and production of technical architecture and implementation artefacts, such as technical architecture diagrams, solution designs, build or deployment documentation, Concept of Operations (ConOps) inputs, or non-functional requirements.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience providing technical leadership including creation (on at least 4 projects) documentation may include technical architecture diagrams, solution designs, build or deployment documentation, ConOps inputs, or non-functional requirements
- Valid Government of Canada Secret Level II security clearance granted by CSP/PSPC
RATED CRITERIA:
- Experience designing and leading the technical architecture and migration of enterprise infrastructure, application workloads, and/or endpoint platforms to cloud-based or hybrid services in complex enterprise IM/IT environments
- Experience architecting and implementing enterprise-scale cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure or equivalent), including scalable and resilient platform components supporting production workloads
- Experience enabling automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform, or equivalent) to support cloud and endpoint provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operations
- Experience designing and implementing modern cloud-managed or co-managed endpoint provisioning and management solutions, such as Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, or equivalent, in enterprise environments
- Experience architecting and implementing enterprise software packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management for modern managed Windows endpoints
- Experience designing and implementing bandwidth-aware, network-optimized delivery approaches suitable for geographically distributed or high-latency environments
- Experience designing and implementing integrated technical solutions in complex IM/IT environments, including integration with directory or identity services supporting secure, scalable delivery
- Experience, within up to 4 projects, producing or contributing to operational readiness and transition artefacts, such as build books, runbooks, deployment guides, and transition documentation
- Experience, within up to 4 projects, working in Agile or iterative IM/IT delivery environments, including participation in technical planning, incremental delivery, and continuous improvement activities
