Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their hair styling preferences and recommend suitable treatments or styles
- Perform haircuts, coloring, styling, and other hair care services with precision and attention to detail
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools to ensure client safety
- Upsell additional services or retail products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a friendly, professional atmosphere and addressing client needs promptly
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and styling
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon environment
- Effective communication skills for consulting with clients and collaborating with team members
- Ability to upsell retail products naturally without being pushy
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus
