We are currently seeking an experienced District Sales Manager to further develop our business across Western Canada.
If you have experience in the Marine industry, along with district sales management experience in a dealer network, and can travel extensively across your assigned district, which includes British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, you may find this career opportunity a good long-term match!
The District Sales Manager is the main contact between the dealer network and Suzuki Canada for all sales matters and is responsible for:
- developing retail sales growth by sourcing new dealership partners
- ensuring dealership retail sales targets are set and achieved
- ensuring wholesale targets are set and achieved
- providing brand marketing support through activities such as dealer and consumer promotions
- participating in product allocation and reconciliation of units at dealership locations
- facilitating monthly co-op program funds allocation and reconciliation
- Conducting territory composite analysis
- Conducting market analysis with each dealer
- Product training for dealership sales personnel
- Organizing and supporting consumer shows and dealer show attendance
- Submit weekly itineraries and dealer contact reports
Organizational Structure
This position reports directly to the National Sales Manager responsible for the Outboard Product Sales.
The successful candidate must:
- be a graduate of a college or university program from a recognized post-secondary institution or have attained equivalent education.
- have a minimum of 5 years of related work experience within the recreational products industry; Suzuki product knowledge is an asset.
- have demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- a valid driver’s license. This is a job requirement and is vital to perform a District Sales position.
- have some familiarity with boating. A boater’s pleasure craft operator card would be an asset.
- be prepared to travel up to four days each week, including overnight stays. Monday is usually assigned to home office duties and meetings.
- be able to support weekend participation at marketing events to support our Suzuki brand as needed.
- be skilled in data management to analyze sales/marketing information at an experienced level within Microsoft platforms.
- be able to travel across Canada to support team member events and attend training out of Canada from time to time.
- have or be able to attain a Canadian passport prior to hire
