The Ottawa Hospital is accepting resumes for upcoming casual (On-Call) positions in the warehouse.
Minimum availability requirements: 2/3 weekends, 8 weeks during the period from June 1 to September 30, and five shifts between December 23 and January 3, inclusive of either Christmas Day, Boxing Day or December 31/New Year's Day.
Position may be located at either the Civic, General, Riverside Campus or other TOH Satellite locations.
Rotation -Various Shifts
Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12);
Six (6) months hands-on experience working in an industrial warehouse environment with recent (within the last 3 years) experience operating forktrucks, pallet lifters and order pickers;
Valid Material Handling Equipment Licenses OR successfully pass recertification (upon hire);
Knowledge of some aspects of the Receiving function;
Knowledge of some Inventory control concepts;
Ability to push, pull and lift heavy loads;
Ability to operate material handling equipment (i.e.: hydraulic lift) at heights up to 30 feet;
Knowledge of medical products;
Good organizational and decision making skills;
Knowledge of computerized materials management systems (i.e. Oracle or WMS);
Good customer service skills.
