Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional and friendly manner
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including counting change and balancing registers at shift end
- Promote products through upselling and suggestive selling to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to ensure attractive presentation of products
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple customers efficiently without compromising service quality
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers
- Strong communication skills in English
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail merchandising practices is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Customer service experience that highlights patience, professionalism, and problem-solving abilities
- Organizational skills to keep the checkout area tidy and ensure smooth transaction flow
