We are seeking a Red Seal Millwright to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and will have a strong mechanical aptitude. A successful candidate must possess a knowledge of tools and engines, and will be responsible for repairing operating systems on vessels, equipment and other heavy machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair machines by following instructions and established procedures.
- Maintain and repair machines by using tools, equipment, and resources such as hand tools, pneumatic tools, electrical testing equipment, and power tools.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble parts of machines.
- Perform tests on machine components to ensure they function properly.
- Read operating instructions to determine how to use machines or specific machine functions.
- Observe equipment to predict malfunctions or mechanical problems.
