Pro Shop Attendant
Location: Arbutus Ridge Golf Club
Reports To: Golf Shop Supervisor | Assistant
Position Summary
The Pro Shop Attendant is responsible for delivering a welcoming and professional first impression to all members and guests. This role supports daily golf operations, retail sales, and tee sheet management while ensuring an exceptional customer experience that reflects the club’s standards of hospitality and service.
Key Responsibilities
Member & Guest Experience
- Greet all members and guests in a warm, professional manner
- Check in golfers efficiently and manage tee time flow
- Provide information on course conditions, pace of play, and club policies
- Handle inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism
Golf Operations
- Manage tee sheet bookings (phone, online, and in-person)
- Coordinate with starter, marshals, and outside services to ensure smooth play
- Enforce pace of play standards and daily golf operations policies
- Assist with tournament and event setup as required
Retail & Merchandising
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS system
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing merchandise displays
- Assist with inventory control, stock replenishment, and receiving orders
- Promote and upsell merchandise, memberships, and services
Facility Standards
- Keep pro shop clean, organized, and well-presented at all times
- Ensure signage, scorecards, and daily materials are stocked and updated
- Follow opening and closing procedures
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate records of tee times, sales, and daily reports
- Assist with membership inquiries and registrations
- Support Head Golf Professional with daily operational tasks
Qualifications
- Previous customer service or retail experience (golf environment preferred)
- Knowledge of golf operations, etiquette, and terminology is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using POS systems and booking software
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Work Conditions
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Standing for extended periods
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
