Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items, ensuring freshness and quality
- Cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service standards
- Adhere to health regulations related to food handling and sanitation protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in meal preparation and working with diverse cuisines is a plus
- Strong understanding of the food industry’s best practices for maintaining quality and safety
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
