Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems table side.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Provide exceptional guest service by answering questions about menu items, making recommendations, and upselling where appropriate
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all payments
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and restaurant sanitation policies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a strong understanding of the food industry standards
- Proficiency with POS systems, for order processing and cashiering tasks
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude that enhances guest experiences
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing, tipping, and cash handling purposes
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required; hospitality background is highly valued
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist guests seamlessly
